The bed was very hard, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. We took the mattress from the couch to provide more padding, which helped somewhat. Renovation, (tile work), next to our room was annoying.

Make sure to have snacks available as dinner is not serviced until 7:30-8:00 p.m. Those of us who are not use to European schedules eat dinner at an earlier time.
The grounds are very pleasant and comfortable.

We want to express ourhigh level of contentedness in regads to our stay at Il Rappo d'Oro. The location is wonderful just before the little town Montescudaio between Olivetrees and vinejards with view to the Seaside.
Many thanks to the entire Team for all the recommemdations and help during our stay, special thanks to Patricia, ??? and Andrew. They even found a Wood Tuner for us to buy Olivetreewood blocks.
Savety is also a high priorety at Il Rappo, the buildings are massiv build and quied.
I can recommend Il Rappo d'Oro highly.
My next vacation at Il Rappo d'Oro - Tuscany will shortly be planned.

We really enjoyed our stay at Il Rappod'Oro.
Our apartment was spacious & clean, the beds comfortable but the outside & surrounding views were spectacular. We especially enjoyed the Wed. night 'wineyard'
tour to a local vineyard with a traditional Tuscan evening meal. It is one of the highlights of our vacation!!

The Il Rappoe d'Oro is a wonderful place for a family vacation. The village of Montescudaio is beautiful & the sea is a few kilometers away. It can be seen from the deck of the villa & the sunsets are gorgeous.The pool was great fun & the staff very friendly. I strongly reccommend the Il

The people there, beginning with Andrea and Elena, were very friendly and warm. We felt welcomed.

When we needed driving directions, they were ready to help.
Fabbio and Massimo in the dining room were fun and enjpoyeable to talk with during opur meals there. The food was also excellent.
The facility was warm and inviting, and once we were there, we were sorry our stay was not longer.

This was the perfect transition to Italy for us. The quiet of the lush conutryside is interrupted only by the songs of the local birds. This is a great introduction to Italy, or a place to visit to enjoy the local people, foods, and enjoyment of rural Italy. A wonderful place to relax and easy to visit many local destinations (an hour away) as well.

An extremely nice young lady met us and helped us into our upgraded apartment.

The restaurant was closed for the season (with exception of breakfast) and no ice was available (ice machine shut down too) to feed our bad American habit (ice in everything).

Friendly efficient service from the staff. They provided us with excellent recommendations for side-trips and off-site restaurants. The place was clean and well maintained. It affords an excellent view of the sea as well.

You should mention the activities for children and the activities that they made in the evening. This was more than expected, and very positive.

You could recommend that visitors to the region have some command of Italian, or even to have an Italian/English dictionary on hand. I found that the language barrier in Tuscany was quite distinct which made it especially difficult to get around. In some cases it proved quite stressful and frustrating, whether it be to ask directions or order food in a restaurant.

We had a wonderful time. All of the staff was very helpful and polite. The restaurant was excellent as was the waitor. He shared much of his knowledge on local cuisines and wines. We would definitely go back to this place and recommend it to others.

Beautiful, clean, quiet. We had a spacious room and bathroom with a TV and mini frig. The view out our window was breathtaking. We had a wonderful time exploring various cycling routes provided to us by the hotel. Since we brought our bikes, we were extremely thrilled with the secure location to hang our bikes. All of the staff was very helpful and polite. The restaurant was excellent as was the waitor. He shared much of his knowledge on local cuisines and wines. We would definitely go back to this place and recommend it to others.

Il Rappo d'Oro is set in a beautiful spot of the magnificent countryside of Tuscany. The hotel offers fantastic opportunities for a relaxing holiday with attractive sights like Pisa and Voltera within comfortable driving distance.
We also enjoyed the atmosphere of Montescudaio. A nice little place within walking distance from the hotel, where you can easily can get a feel for the Italian pace of life and sample good Italian food in a couple of restaurants for which it would be worthwhile to return.

It should be stated in the descriptions that the hotel is no suited for people with 'walking' difficulties (many stairs).
Was OK for us anyhow.

The swimming pol is not very large, and does not have a view acros the valley in the way that most places in Tuscany do - and the hotel make you wear swimming hats when you swim in it, which is really off-putting!
But this is a small detail, in comparison with the fact that it is a very nice place to stay.
There is also not that much to do in the area around it compared to other parts of Tuscany - I would say it's not that well situated. If people want to go to relax or be near the coast then it's great, but I wouldn't say it was the best location for exploring the heart of Tuscany.

Very nice, clean, new, friendly, a bit functional, good value for money and handy because unlike most places in Tuscany they accept B&B clients as well as self-catering, which is the main reason we chose to stay there.
Staff were very good at making us feel at home.

It is a bit more reomte than we had originally thought, a car is essential.The cycling they provide for is equal to that experienced in the Tour de France but they happily directed us to the flat coast line & excellent cycle routes for the less experienced.

There was only one problem that our appartment became free not at the time predicted (12:00), but 16:00. It was a little bit tyring after a day trip to your hotel.

The room was not so quiet. This could be caused by the building system in Tuscany generally. (german hauses are more quiet.)
Also we got back-aches caused by the hard matrasses. (we had to get massages in Cecina.)
Otherwise our stay was superb.

the only problem I saw was that nowhere did it state on the web site that there were so many steps and that the parking was down a very steep road. It would be difficult for anyone who is disabled or elderly to stay at this hotel.

Il Rappo d'Oro could do more with plants, especially outside. It would give the accomodation a more secluded and warm atmosphere.
The restaurantmanagement should visit other restaurants in Montesqudaio and Casala Marittimo to learn more about Italian quality cooking.
Finish building and try to get the owners of the surrounding area to 'clean up' there property.

Our initial accommodation had damp on one of the walls, but as soon as another apartment was free we where moved. The staff where always helpsfull and polite.

Everything about the hotel was good except for the noise generated by the 'entertainment' in the evenings. When you were at the bar, this was so loud that you could not make yourself heard without screaming. You could not get away from the noise wherever you went. It was extremely unpleasant in the bedroom because the low frequency noises came through particularly loudly. We did not liek the music, particularly the karaoke, but realise thatothe rpeople do. But it should have been possible to escape from it.

The website did not provide information on the entertainment available at Il Rappo d'Oro, e.g. live music in the open air three times a week.
We would have preferred to do without the live music which at times was quite disturbing.

We didn't know that the bar on the terrace shuts after the second week of September - although you could get a coffee from the small bar inside.
The restaurant was closed although it said that there is a restaurant attached to the hotel. Would have been nice to have a meal there for a change. Otherwise everything was nice - we also had free internet access in the hotel.

We appreciated that someone was going to wait up until we were able to arrive though it was unnecessary as we arrived earlier than expected. It was a very nice gesture.

We had a lovely visit with you. The restaurant was awesome. Please forward our appreciation to the chef. When we wanted to rent bicycles, it was very easy and the people at the reception desk were very helpful and had some great suggestions. We were disappointed that the pool and the fitness room weren't open though we understand that it was quite cold. Maybe you could state on your website the times that they are open if they are closed during the off season? Additionally, we were not expecting a kitchen facility but were pleasantly surprised by it. The accommodations were beautiful.

The only disadvantage is that there is no air-conditioning in the rooms. This was clear to us when we made the booking, but we think it would have made our stay even more enjoyable.

We tried calling the hotel because we knew we were late in arriving and were having difficulty finding the location. No one answered which was a bit worrying.
