Almost everything was in order. However because we arrived earlier than anticipated, we were assigned the same type of room but the accompanying paperwork stated a different room number. This caused some concern and minor issues in redeaming package offerings.

The web site could not possible detail all the room types, sizes, inclusions, etc. So when we did get our room, we were surprised to find the AGE of the interior. Much older and worn than anticipated.
The staff was excellent. Kudos to the most energetic receptionist I've ever met in a hotel. That women was so excited in everything she did, it wore off on all those engaging in conversation with her. Just wished we got her name to give a huge THANK YOU. Same hold true to the maintenance man who serviced a light bulb during our last night's stay. He even offered to take us to Breakfast the next day so he could speak more American! Not English, AMERICAN! Very nice guy!

Only reason it is not a VERY good value was the age of the room decore. Needs more light, less drafty windows, less heat on second floor and more heat on first. The location was supreme! Very easy access to the Metro to go anywhere.

Let's get the negative out of the way. Basically the age of decore within the hotel rooms. And the way the front doors operate. One time we were stuck between doors for 5 minutes as the outside door needed to close before the front would open. Everytime a person walked by on the street, the outside door would open.
Positive... Location, Location, Location.
Staff was nice and accomodating. Bar was small but well stocked. Breakfast was very efficient and is a great selling point since the prices of food in Paris is extreme! Great Family Package.
For the Web site, would like more pictures, menu items, distances w/pictures to the main attractions and neighboorhood info. Found we were close to the asian area which was one of few areas open all Christmas day

Excellent location. Not much on the inside. Literally right across the street from the Louvre and steps away from the Metro. Main street primarily Tourist Junk Shops, but one block north and your into some real authentic shops and cafe's. No need to eat anything but Breakfast at the hotel, for there are so many other places to try. Would return simply for the location.

The hotel is in an amazing location, so very close to all the major attractions and on a very attractive street. I dont think that this is sold as strongly as it could be, it is the main reason why i would recommend this hotel in the future.

We were met from the airport so directions not relevant. Excellent service. Only minor issue was avaialbility of pool, which was advertised but unavailable.

The location and the basic amenities were excellent. We would stay there again!
There were however afew items that were not consistent with what we had expected: (1)there were no concierge services (for example,to help us obtain tickets);(2)More then once, the maids entered our room when we were there without asking;(3)there was no internet service--it was down the whole time we were there.and (4)there were no keys to the room safe--which we were told was no longer operative.

As I said, we would stay there again. The location, the ambience, and the general friendship of the staff, were superior.

A nice hotel with organised and friendly staff. However, the bedroom decor and bedroom corridors need a refurbishment, they look a little tatty and tired and at the prices charged they should be smarter.

We had a transfer to the hotel but the flight was delayed so nobody was at the airport when we arrived.

The check out was terible. The front desk staff was very rude, to the point that we would never consider staying here again. We called the front desk the day before to arrange for a ride to the airport but it was not arranged as well.

We received a very warm welcome by the staff at the Clarion-St. James and the room was larger than the one we had reserved.

We were very impressed by the courteousness of the hotel staff, with the exception of one woman who seated us for breakfast. However, I am pleased to see that the image of the aloof Parisian has long gone. The Parisian people are delightful and should be incredibly proud of their city.

As a special deal, the hotel arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport and drove us straight to the front door of the hotel, at no extra cost. It was the perfect start to a perfect break.

We enjoyed our visit at the Clarion St James & Albany. THe staff was very helpful and welcoming. This was my 2nd visit at this hotel and the first for my granddaughter. We liked your new pool. I would definitely stay there again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the 'palatial' architecture and history of the building. The room itself was clean and well-kept, although the king-size bed was two beds put together, so that there was a division in the center. But truly, I have no complaints.

A historic 'palatial-style' bit of architecture, with excellent staff, a lovely spa, delicious breakfast, good bar and common rooms, a beautiful dining room in a great location. The room itself was clean and well-kept, but not 'luxurious' as a more modern hotel might be, but I didn't go to Paris to spend time in the hotel room. It certainly met our needs very well.

The only thing about our stay that I did not like was that the room we had, Nr. 427 was so small. It was ok in all respects except for the size. If we go back to Paris again, and I am sure we will, I will reserve a larger room even if it costs a little more.I don't think there is too much controle over the room preparation before the guests check in. There was only one peignoir in the room. we had to request a second one. The kleenex box in the bathroom was empty. It was refilled the next day when I left the container open. There was no magnifier mirror in this bathroom even though the website shows one. Perhaps this is only for the more expensive rooms. There should be hooks on the inside of the bathroom door so that you could hang the peignoirs there.

As far as I could see there was no mention of parking facilities in the hotel. I thought we would have to use one of the local public parking garages in the neighborhood. When we inquired at checkin, we were told we could keep the car in their parking under the hotel and they would park the car for us and bring it up whenever we wanted it. This we found very convenient.

The hotel was excellent. They take very good care of all of the facilities. The bar and the breakfast room are fistrate and very well managed. The interior of the hotel is kept very clean and well maintained.Unfortunatly, we did not have time during this trip to take advantage of the beautiful pool or exercise room, but the next time we go to Paris we will be sure to do so.

We requested check-in on arrival, but could not get a room at 9a.m. due to booking and were told we could not get a room until 1:30. However, a nice gentleman at the desk (Mahmoud) was able to get us in at 11:30. He was terrific!

As we stayed only two nights, we didn't use the spa and other facilities included in the voucher. Our feeling is that if we had wanted to use them we would have been able to do it.
The quality of the rooms was good. We don't mark 'very good' because we stayed in the most standard room type. It was just fine, as we expected.
The staff was helpful, but I must say that their English wasn't fluent. Sometimes it was difficult to make ourselves understood. In addition, I think that the hotel staff should be a little bit more prepared to providing helpful suggestions regarding how to enter the main Museums without queuing to buy tickets. Once you're out of The Louvre, for example, you know what you should have done to enter without queuing. The hotel staff should know it too.

The only inconvenience we had, was that we had to wait for four days until there was a lock available for the safety deposit box. so we had to keep our passports, plane tickets and cash at the reception which wasn't practical at all, at least for us.

Conveniently situated for all the major sights, a comfortable hotel with a lovely central courtyard and a swimming pool. Quiet with friendly helpful staff. Eat away from the hotel, the restaurant has a limited menu and the food is farly average.

I booked junior suite in a 4* hotel and received one open space under the roof. A room that they called suite. In addition I had to climb a few stairs with baby pram. The bathroom was dirty and without good drainage in the shower cabine. Overall very bad experience.

the hotel rooms were very small for what we expected, for a superior room this was very poor.Having been to paris 3 times this hotel was not value for money, it was very expensive and didn't give much in return. The breakfast room and food was terrible, room service was no better, all in all a very bad experience of this hotel. We will not be staying there ever again

The room (a family suite) was spacious, clean, and well laid out. The beds, however, were lumpy and bordered on the uncomfortable. The mattresses could stand to be replaced.

When we arrived, the Frigo Bar was completely empty.
We called the reception and say.
The day after we returned at 4 p.m., and....the Frigo Bar was still empty !!
