The single rooms are a bit small, but clean and modern, the shower was a bit uncomfortable to use because of its small size -- but fine for a short stay. I recommend a double room for longer stays.

I was concerned about comments I overheard from a guest who claimed they were charged 2 nights when they only stayed one night. I wondered if some sort of scam was in play, but I had no problems, the cost was exactly as stated, the other guests obviously were mistaken.

The included breakfast is just okay. It consists of cereal, rolls, toast, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, juice, milk, coffee and tea. No fresh fruit. The room I stayed in, (I assume this is true for all rooms), has a small refrigerator. Not an honor-bar, just an empty refrigerator, good for stocking your own snacks, water, etc. Perhaps the best thing about the Troy Hotel is the neighborhood in which it resides, Bayswater. This is across from Hyde Park, next to Notting Hill and Portobello Road shopping district. Bayswater is primarily a Greco-Arab area, full of Greek restaurants and kebab houses. There are plenty of banks, launderies and shops to keep anyone satisfied. It is also very convinient to Paddington station, (10 minute walk, or 2 minute cab ride for about 2.40 BP), where one can get the Heathrow Express. THe Hotel is 1 block from Queensway underground station. Generally, a great place for a traveller.

If you need a place convenient to the airport, that's not right next to the airport, or in the city but away from the crowds, this place is for you.

Nice, friendly, quiet street, easy access to Paddington (Heathrow Express), close to Bayswater and Queensway, close to Hyde Park.

i had booked all smoking rooms as stated on voucher but Troy could only provide 1 smoking,Troy addmited their mistake but would not even give a discount for their mistake.

We arrived allot earlier and that was fine they let us check in at that time. The room was lovely so clean and very smart.
The location was great and close tot he tube station.
The service was great and when we want to go to London again we would definaley saty there again.

This hotel was a very nice place to stay for the price. The location is great and the hotel is clean and kept-up well. I have stayed at many hotels in London in this price range and found this one to be the best.

It is an excellent accommodation for a very fair price and the staff is very helpful. The location is great and very close to a tube station. The area is quiet except on friday and saturday evening, which is quiet normal.

We had to pay for the whole stay at check in, - optionally day per day. Last time we stayed at the hotel, we payed the whole amount at check out. I think that the payment should take place at check out, as long as my credit card is registered.

Not the most friendly and helpful person checking me in. I got the impression that I was disturbing her. The lobby reeked of cigarettes because guests were smoking away inside the lobby.

Description said that there woudld be internet access. When I asked about it, I was told that I could unplug the phone in the room and plug the cord into my laptop and dial up wherever I want. That is NOT internet access. They might as well have said that I had fax machine access as well, provided I walk with my OWN fax machine !
Not very quiet either as I could hear all the traffic passing outside.

Well I say it was not good value because I checked out that same night, not bothering to stay. I was a bit disappointed in the accommodation and so I left to go by family. I didn't care about paying for the room at that point.

I have to say it is not the most prefessional or friendly accommodation at all. No internet access. Access to a 'phone connection' is what the advertisement should say.

If you don't want any classy and friendly accommodation, but just a simple place to sleep the night, then it is OK. I'm afraid I am fussy.
