I thought the place was lovely,very modern design and spotlessly clean. I was initially put off a little because it seemed a bit out of the way, however once you got used to the bus routes it was fine and it was very good value for money compared to what you'd pay for a comparable place in the cenntre of town.
The owner seemed to be around if you needed help but if not you were left to your own devices. In fact it felt more like serviced flats than a hotel. Since I was travelling on my own I was concerned about safety and I felt completely safe there.
There was a fair amount of noise from the pub next door, although they closed at eleven so it wasn't really a problem.

Apropos the accommodation..I do not feel that the room we had was suitable for 3 adults and luggage.However as aroom for 2 adults the room was excellent

Better descriptions of the room types and the facilities available.i.e.ensuites etc. as we were not familiar with the terminology used.e.g.standard room ...which we found out meant that there were no bathroom/toilet facilities in the room and that they had to be shared with others.

As a place I would definitely stay should they need an apartment in London. However I would stress that they should ask for the room with toilet /bathroom facilities.

The Luxury Inn is a B&B, which is exactly what I was looking for. Once checked in, visitors are more or less left to themselves, yet James (the proprietor) lives in the adjoining duplex of the building, and was always welcoming when I rang his buzzer for advice on how to get around London. He also took extra time during check in to provide me with neighbourhood and city maps to help navigate my explorations. The room was compact but very comfortable, and the modern conveniences were a huge bonus (wonderful bathrooms, very modern kitchen area, wireless internet throughout the house). Overall I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely recommend The Luxury Inn to friends.

I arrived with my parents, books a double room with an extra bed, but the maneger offered a separete room for me wich was great and I am thankful for that.

Everything was very good, spacious, clean and private, but there was no breakfast as it was mentioned on the website.

Apert from the 'breakfast-inconvenience', everything was very pleasant, a very good experience of stay. Al in all it was a lot better than what I had expected. Thank you, James:)

A very good alternative when staying in London. Clean and charming, and much better than most hotels in same price range. Especially good value for money if you are a family (or group of friends) and book two double rooms with a shared bathroom.

James made us more than welcome when we arrived. He showed us the accommodation and what was offered nd made us all feel very much at home in a very relaxed way. Ideal as the outside temperature was in the 90's

James allowed us to leave our baggage with him all day after our check out time in order that we might enjoy the London experience without being hindered by baggage. A great bonus as the weather was very hot.

Wonderfull owner/manager in James, he allowed my 4 teenagers and myself have a thoroughly relaxed but grown up stay. the accomodation is both stylish and functional with excelent bathrooms etc

It was all well organized and somebody was available to help either in person or via the call to the mobile phone.

The guy running the place was always willing to help with the various enquiries, about the transport, food, places to see etc. He gets top marks for his effort.

Need to mention that this is not tipical hotel, I think some visitors were a bit confused as they expected hotel-like service, with the proper reception etc. Personally I like the place very much, more convenient and in some regards it was like staying at friend's place. I'll be back!

I was not aware that there was no permanent reception service staff at the property, and that actual arrival time therfore was more important than normally.

The arrival was a little strange as i expected (maybe wrongly) there to be someone actually in the Luxury Inn when i got there. The Luxury Inn is 152 and 154 Tottenham Road but 152 has a separtae door from 154 and the host to greet us was in 154 and we were due to stay in 152 so there was actaully no one in the building at all as there were no other people staying there also. But after ringing the telephone number underneath the buzzer it appeared that the host was in 154 and never heard us ringing the buzzer and this was a totally minor detail. Other than that our arrival was very warmly received.

We were the only people staing in our building (there were 4 rooms altogether) and so it was extremely quiet and we had the large building to ourselves with a patio on the ground floor with a table and chairs outside which we could use if we wish. The room was clean and the bathroom was very nicely decorated. The cooker was state of the art and very large and modern and as there was self service for breakfast we could make breakfast at any time we wished and if we wished to bring food back to make ourselves we could do that also. So the facilties were ideal and being the only ones there we had the run of the satellite tv (which is shared, although guests have their own tvs in their rooms but there are just the terrestrial channels).

Checking out was really a failure of communication between us and the host. A note was left for us when we arose in the morning stating that we hoped we had had an enjoyable stay and to leave the keys in the bedroom door and we could leave our luggage in the room and come back for it later. As my friends flight was not until 10pm we vacated the rooms by abt 11am and came back at 6pm expecting the host or someone else to be in the building. Unfortunately there was noone in either 152 or 154 and thus we phoned the host and told him that we could not get into the building as we had left the keys in the bedroom door as arranged. he informed me that he meant that we could take the keys with us and come back at 6pm and then when we left in the evening leave the keys in the bedroom door. As the host could not get to the flat it meant waiting for someone who had the keys to meet us and the wait was over 1 hr I think. So it would be advisable to other guests if one could come back layter for luggae to make sure either someone shall be there to let you into the flat or else if not would it be possible to take the keys and leave them when you returned before leaving. But as i stated, this was just a simple falure of communication and the host was very helpful and tried hard to get someone to come and get us into the Luxury Inn.

Make sure that you include that you should ring the Luxury Inn before arriving there (say an hour or so if possible) to make sure someone is there to greet you. But otherwise the Luxury Inn was pretty much how it looked and how it was described on the web site.

I would describe the place as pretty modern and nice and quite but maybe a little out of the way as it took maybe a 10-15 minute bus ride to get to the tube then the tube would take 10 mins or so to get to Central London. But the experience I would say would be a positive one.

When we arrived there was no signage on the building and we were unable to reach the manager by the doorbell or phone (and we had a taxi driver waiting. After about 10 minutes the manager appeared and told us he was expecting us the following day.

We were quite satisfied with the accommodation except for the communal kitchen which was not clean. The manager was quite helpful and we were particularly grateful for his advice regarding transport - buses, taxi etc. We were very pleased with the ease of booking through Worldby.com and would recommend this service to friends.

I didn't realize when I booked that I needed to turn up at the Luxury Inn at the time I said I was going to be there. The owners meet individual clients at the appointed times. This should be made clearer in the instructions on the voucher.

The property was as described on the website, but the level of service was lower than expected. I only saw the owners at check-in and not again. My room was not serviced each day (bed-making, etc.). The breakfast was minimal and self-serve. Most disturbingly, there is no telephone for guests to use, something that I felt was dangerous, should there be a fire or other emergency.

Again, lack of phone is disturbing. I won't stay there again just for this very reason.

There was no soap in the bathroom, and no butter or margarine in the kitchen, this was not a problem for me but may well be for someone else. I went out and bought some, but felt I shouldn't have had to. This will not stop me staying there again if I need that area of London.

The only bad thing I have to say about the Luxury Inn was the location. We had a difficult time finding the place since there was no sign. We had to go by street address.

Wish we didn't have to share a bathroom with other guests. It would be nice to have phone in rooms instead of using pay phone a block away from the Inn.

It was difficult to find the place. However, our room was great and we loved the modern and artistic features of the place. Looked at other rooms and it wasn't as great as the room we had. Love that it was called the Tokio Room. James and Carl were extremely nice and patient with us since we were lost before our arrival. James allowed us to stay a bit longer before our flight back to the States. We were treated very well. Just wish our noisy neighbors (also Americans) were more considerate. I would love to come back and stay here again, just longer.

Location is far from the City Center and is difficult to find. The neighborhood is good though. Upon your arrival, the outside of the building is not what you expect, but once you walk in, it is a different story. The rooms are VERY clean and so is the bathroom. Very modern, zen-like, and artsy. If you like modern, this is your place. The kitchen area is small, however, it is very nice and cozy. A self-serve place. Enjoyable.

Really modern nice place to stay where you can feel at home. A little bit out of the way of the main attractions of London but near to the tube so its not really a problem. Really funky decorated rooms.
