we were made to feel very welcome and immediately relieved that everything was alright with the booking made over the internet as did have some reservations as not having done a booking that way previously.

we were thoroughly satisfied with the accommodation and remarked that after 4 weeks of travelling it was the best place stayed at in this time.

it is as close to the underground as you can get. we enjoyed the area we were in and found it a great position for all things.

best hotel we stayed at the whole time we were away apart from elephant hills hotel in victoria falls. in total we were away for 5 weeks.

ONly problem was the noise from the A/C unit - it was necessary to have it on because the room was hot and we couldn't open the window because of the noise from the main A/C unit outside our window - had very little sleep and cleaner woke us up at 8am to clean room - on a Saturday.

External noise, even with the windows closed as uncomfortable.
Room service was stated as 24hrs (light snacks out of hours) but when asked the light snacks on the room service memu were not available - only something simple, the night reception said - like ham or cheese. If we wanted something more, he said - go to MacDonalds.
This wouldn't encourage me to stay there again.

The website provides with a map of the local area, but my experience is that it is not detailed enough. Upon leaving London Bridge station, it's hard to figure out what street you're on (there are several exits, it would be helpful to tell customers which to take).

The hotel is situated very centrally, close to the trainstation and metrostation, in an area very quitly. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and confortable. I enjoyed very much the breakfast en the room where it has been held was really pleasant.

When I booked through the internet I didn't notice the fact that I had to specify that I wanted a non-smoking room. I thought that if people don''t specify this fact, automatically a non-smoking room will be booked, but this wasn't the case. However, at the end the reception managed to get a non-smoking room for us.
