The lift to the Old Florence Inn floor is not always available (because of failure by users to close the doors). Carrying suitcases when lift is not available a bit of a problem.

Very comfortable room, lovely bathroom, great location, reasonably priced, helpful staff. Our only disappointment was the breakfast - prepackaged croissants & dried toast wasn't very appetizing, but at least the juice and cappucino (instant variety) was good.

Very helpful reception staff, helped with phone bookings for opera. wonderful feel to the Inn. Everything was perfect.

The room was standard, but clean and everything worked. The Hotel is 100 meters from the train station. A Frig is provided, which is nice to keep things cold and the Continental breakfast is provided in the room along with a coffeepot to heat water in. Overall it was the best of the five Hotels We stayed in while in Italy.

We had trouble in finding the entrance to the Old Florence Inn despite asking local shop store keepers. The area map on the website shows the hotel on the otherside of the road to where it was eventially found after 45 minuits of searching.

The welcome has been very warm and familiar.
The receptionist gave us the keys and said 'It's your home now' and we really felt so!

I left at 5:00 a.m. when no staff was present. Once the door closed behind me, I remembered that I forgot a package, but could not get back in because I left the key at the desk. Staff was most helpful in arranging for my package to be shipped to me.

Renovated, clean and friendly B&B. Close to station and everything you would need in Florence centre. Compared to other Italian hotels we stayed in, this was by far the best value for money. Only suggestion would be more fruit available for breakfast.

Old Florence Inn is quite a nice place for our stay in Florence, the receptionist is friendly and the location is nice! However, I would like to suggest that it'll be better if they can provide hot and fresh 'buffet' breakfast.

As most Italian breakfasts are simple I loved having the breakfast tray with juice, pastry, cookies, coffee, tea, etc. in the room all day. There is also a fridge so there was also youghert and we could keep our drinks cool.

The fact that there is an elevator is important as there are many steps. The location is not only close to the train station, but the central market, the center of Florence and many great restaurants. Also not far from the bus terminal.

Definately would recommend to anyone. We are in our 60's and travel a lot so we have seen everything and this was a very nice accomodation.

The staff made are stay very pleasant they welcomed us with open arms to make us feel comfortable. When the hose on the blow dryer breakes I feel they should replace the hose or dryer instead of taping them up it looks tacky.

Overall I given Old Florence Inn a 100%. It's location is very close to the main center of Florence, train station, hop and go etc. We were very pleased with the staff and their service as well as the roomswhich were very warm and cozy. Hope to return soon. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

The staff was fabulous. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. We hope we can come back to Florence in the future and we will certainly stay with this hotel. The room was beautiful... charming and lovely furnishings. We also had a small balcony with table and chairs, which was unexpected!

The staff was of great help upon our arrival. They immediately suggested places to go and arranged for us to get the necessary reservations so that we would not have to wait in long lines.

We had been recommended to go to a particular restaurant by another couple and the staff at Old Florence Inn went out of their way to look it up on the internet, give us a map and directions on where it was located, and then made dinner reservations for us! How great was that!!

I would highly recommend it, not only because of the convenience to the train station, but that the staff was so friendly. Hopefully some day we will return to Florence, and when we do, we will definitely stay here again.

After arriving in Florence at The main train station we attended at the Tourist information office and were given precise directions to the hotel , which turned out to be across the road.

The Old Florence Inn is situated on the second floor of an office block. The room was spacious and very clean . We were allocated room 1 , a twin bedded room with a small balcony. As the room was at the front of the hotel on a busy main road it was a little noisy .

My only negative comment about the accommodation was the level of noise coming from the street outside during the night. This meant that getting a restful sleep was impossible.
For this reason only I would not return to the accommodation.

The desk was not yet opened when we had to leave to catch a train (8:30 am). However, things were sorted out in our absence by the very efficient and friendly staff at the Old Florence.

The Old Florence is lovely, clean, safe, and has air conditioning (which in 35 C weather was an absolutely blessing.) The staff was friendly and very accommodating, booked all our reservations to museums and tours, and essentially uncomplicated our stay in Florence.

We enjoyed our stay at Old Florence Inn. However, there were some disappointments that made part of our stay uncomfortable. The weather in Florence is very hot during the summer months and as a result we were looking for a hotel with air conditioning provided. Old Florence Inn advertised this, however, I would hardly call what was in our room an air conditioner. My partner has breathing issues and the heat/humidity made it difficult for him to sleep at night. The air conditioner was not adjustable to lower the temperature in the room and it's presence was of no help in eliminating the heat.
My other disappointment was the noise on the floor above our room. We were awakened sereval times during the night of our week stay. Although, I do recognize that this isn't the fault of Old Florence Inn.
All-in-all it is a very good hotel and I will surely return to it should I be staying in Florence again.
