-Beautiful looking room in a wonderful location.
HOWEVER:
- the hardest, most uncomfortable bed we've ever slept in. It didn't indent when you sat on it. Why?????
- they need more kitchen knives and they should sharpen the ones they have.
- how about an easy chair to sit in? - no where to sit except a loveseat
- explain about the long distance telephone when you check in. We didn't have a connection for several days. The majority of the rooms had to leave a note for Daniella to turn it on. Why not state the policy from the beginning instead of everyone getting a nasty surprise.

Good and bad. I'd state the positives because it really was a lovely place but tell about the caveats as stated in previous comments.

We arrived two days early for our reservation, but Ms. Belfiore was totally wonderful about accommodating us even though there had been a lapse in communication about when we planned to arrive. The four flights of stairs were grueling, and the street noise made the tradeoff between moving air during an oppressive heatwave and sufficient quiet to sleep extremely troublesome, but Ms. Belfiori's extreme gestures towards accommodating us made up for everything. The location is very good.

No one was there for checkout, but Ms. Belfiore communicated with us prior to checkout day, and we simply left the keys on the table and left when convenient.

Clean, pleasant, minimally comfortable. Bring a travel fan for air movement and white noise.

The apartment was available HOURS BEFORE schedule. The staff was very considerate of our earlier arrival and went out of their way to get the place ready earlier than usual. This was on Holy Week as well!!

I really was impressed with the aparttment: the security of the place, the convenient location, the spaciousness, the cleanliness and the utilities/furnishings/services offered. There were enough towels and blankets for everybody. The washing machine was a great advantage. However, the directions for the washing machine were not explicit and we were not familiar with the model so it took a while to learn how to use it.
There was enough plates, pots and pans for all of us.This was a big positive. And a flat iron with board! Wow, almost like home.

It was quite difficult to reserve a taxi as we had no phone number to give to the radio taxi service. The hall phone system was not explained to us.

Very very safe in a lovely neighborhood next to a wonderful restaurant.
Please note, this is actually on the 4th floor so I do not recommend this apartment to the elderly or those who have difficulty with stairs. No heavy luggage as well.
There is no microwave. I missed one. Be aware too that there is no oven or toaster to warm/toast bread. Renters should be prepared right away to purchase dish cleaning soap, paper towels and maybe some other paper product such as foil (for food storage) if they are inclined to use the kitchen. The kitchen was well supplied overall.

Everything was fine. Danilla went out of her way to make sure we got in okay, especially since there was a train strike that day and we were delayed quite a bit.

I was v.pleased, but I had some difficulty with the wiring of funds for the deposit. I would like to see either assistance with this, or the ability to use a credit card to pay for the deposit.

I was very pleased and surprised with the quality of the accomodation. The apartment was v.comfortable and v. centrally located. I expected the location to be much worse than it was..it was perfect!!!Belfiore should tout the fact that it is on a quiet street. Our 'host' Daniela couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. It was like having a professional assistant on site. This is something one doesn't expect when renting an apartment. It was great!

Charming apartment near the Pitti Palace. Well appointed with spacious rooms and a great loft for those of us who were agile enough to master the stairs. A plave that makes you feel like a local in a foreign country, and inspires you to cook up a 3 course Italian dinner. I would also add that Daniela is an amazing host and exemplifies Italian hospitality.

The actual distance from the train station did not seem to be correct, much longer. Also, five minutes from the train station by taxi is unrealistic in such a busy city. We had only one day with no hot water in the apartment, but it was fixed. The accomodations were nice, though the area was somewhat noisy (we were on the ground floor). We would love to return to Florence again. Thanks for asking.

The room was made available for wheelchair access, which is a positive feature. Also, we were given assisted with tickets to an art exhibit, which was helpful.
